Africa & Scotland Update!

Dear Friends,

THE MANGO TREE CHURCH:

Thanks for your faithful prayers. Rwanda was great! Along with Bill & Cathie Wood, from New Beginnings here in Scotland, I visited the Mango Tree church that was planted last year as a result of the AIDs awareness seminar that Dr Mark & Hazel presented in August. The church is growing and doing great! They had about 110 in attendance on the Sunday, and when I presented the Gospel message 7 new people came to Christ. We also helped them move stones as they were clearing the ground where they are believing God for a new church building, and we were encouraged by the amazing change that God has brought about in the community. Praise the Lord!

EACH ONE WIN ONE:

The training of Nazarene pastors, district superintendants and other leaders from the Nazarene churches in Congo, DRC, Burundi and Rwanda also went great. They received the teaching with great passion and understanding, and on their own they decided to make the commitment to pass the teaching along and make sure that every leader and every member of the Nazarene churches in those countries receives the teaching within three months. They are keen to start applying the principles they learned and to move forward with the work of winning souls, making disciples and planting churches across their nations. A number of the leaders who were present also personally signed a commitment to plant a new church within the next year.

SCOTTISH CHRISTIAN POLICE ASSOCIATION - EASTER EVENT

Please pray for the special Easter gathering for the Strathclyde police this Saturday at 10:30am. Graeme and his band will be leading worship, and I will be presenting a Gospel message. Please pray that souls will be saved and that many of the police officers will be inspired to live their lives with a vibrant, resurrection faith in Jesus Christ our Lord!

VISITORS FROM MYRTLE POINT, OREGON

Rob and Peter are here from America! They are teenagers from the Myrtle Point Church of the Nazarene. Graeme & I last saw them a year ago when we led revival meetings at their church, and they felt called by God to come to Scotland and help us out for a couple of weeks. Please pray that this will be a powerfiul spiritual experience for them and that God will use their time here to His glory!

HARESTANES BAPTIST CHURCH

On Sunday night, Graeme & I will be speaking at Harestanes Baptist Church. They want us to share about what God is doing in Moodiesburn and give them a challenge and conceptual tools that they can use in reaching out to their community. Among other things, we'll be sharing the each one win one principles with them.

BAPTISMS

We have people ready and eager to be baptised. Please pray for us as we are still trying to determine the best venue to do this in.

God bless!
Pastor Chris
